Hours of Work: 18 hours per week, to cover a 7 day rota

Salary: £9.50 per hour

The Role:

As a Housekeeper, you will become a key part of a team to deliver a high-quality service to residents living in our extra care scheme. This is an immensely rewarding role, enabling people to live in a well-kept environment by keeping the building clean and safe for the use of employees and the general public in line with health and safety requirements, risk assessments and COSHH regulations relating to site cleanliness and welfare of the building.

Your role will require you as a front facing part of the team to provide outstanding customer service to our tenants and visitors. As well as helping people to live as independently as possible in a clean, well-kept environment and maintain a high standard of service as well as a safe, caring, inclusive and vibrant community.

Successful candidates will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS Check

What you will need:

As a Housekeeper, it is not essential for you to hold any formal qualification’s although an awareness of health and safety would be desirable but also a willingness to undertake training would be required. Training will also be given for COSHH, basic first aid, food hygiene and safeguarding awareness.

As a front facing role the post holder will be expected to liaise with employees and customers in a polite, professional and friendly manner. Due to the vulnerability of our client base the post holder will also be expected to be patient, kind and considerate of others and their vulnerabilities and passionate about delivering a high-quality service to our tenants.

Given the environment you will be working in, you must be able to demonstrate effective communication, strong team working, organisational, interpersonal skills and maintaining high levels of confidentiality at all times. Taking responsibility for your own personal development, sharing knowledge and skills and learning from others within your team.

You will be expected to promote a positive, friendly and understanding attitude towards our customers and other colleagues in order to achieve consistency with the high levels of performance, efficiency and quality that is expected of our Employees.
