Night Senior Support Worker - Limewood


Location: Limewood, Stafford ST16

Hours of Work: Full time position available, covering a 7 day rota

Salary: £12.34 per hour, plus benefits

Choices Housing Association works in partnership with The Wrekin Housing Group to provide quality services that make a difference to people’s lives.

Choices have agreed the sale of our Specialist Dementia Care Home – Limewood to Willinbrook Healthcare, a sister company to Care Concern Group. Willinbrook have an excellent track record and are committed to delivering award winning specialist care and support. We remain committed to recruiting excellent employees to support the services provided to all of our residents at Limewood, until the sale is finalised. As a result of this sale, you should be aware that if you apply and are successfully appointed to any role at Limewood prior to the transfer date, your employment will be subject to a formal legal TUPE process (Transfer of undertakings, protection of employment – Regulations 2006). Therefore, your relevant terms and conditions with Choices will remain the unchanged, however your employment will transfer to Willinbrook Healthcare with effect from the agreed transfer date.

The Role:

As a Senior Support Worker you will become a key part of a team to deliver care and support to residents living in Limewood. This is an immensely rewarding role, you will have daily opportunities to make a difference to people’s lives.

Our dedicated Dementia Support Centre. Limewood is a purpose built centre specifically for people living with Dementia. Limewood is a forward thinking and fresh approach to dementia care for every stage and every age.

Reporting to and when necessary deputising for the care manager, you will be responsible for delivering, supervising and facilitating the delivery of packages of care and support to a number of our service users at Limewood.

You must hold Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Care and have demonstrative experience working in a supervisory/ senior role, delivering high quality care within a similar environment.

Given the environment you will be working in, you must be able to demonstrate effective communication, strong team working, organisational, interpersonal skills and maintaining high levels of confidentiality at all times. Taking responsibility for your own personal development, sharing knowledge and skills and learning from others within your team.

You will be expected to promote a positive, friendly and understanding attitude towards our customers and other colleagues in order to achieve consistency with the high levels of performance, efficiency and quality that is expected of our Employees.

Successful candidates will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS Check. Quick starts available for successful candidates with a transferrable DBS.
