Location: Whitchurch (Hazelwood)

Hours of Work: Various hours available covering a 7-day rota

Salary: £11.21 per hour, plus benefits

The Role:

Opening in Summer 2024, Hazelwood is our brand new ShireLiving scheme and this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a diverse team that is committed to offering quality care services to our residents.

As a Care and Support Worker, you will become a key part of a team to deliver high quality care and support to residents living in our extra care scheme. This is an immensely rewarding role, enabling people to live independently and ensuring they get full enjoyment and fulfilment out of living in their ShireLiving or supported housing apartment.

Your role will require you to provide outstanding customer service to our tenants and visitors. As well as helping people to live as independently as possible in a safe, caring, inclusive and vibrant community.

 

What you will need:

It is not essential for you to hold a formal qualification although an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social care is desirable. However, you must be willing to work towards obtaining a relevant qualification and passionate about delivering a quality service to our tenants.

Given the environment you will be working in, you must be able to demonstrate effective communication, strong team working, organisational, interpersonal skills and maintaining high levels of confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times. Taking responsibility for your own personal development, sharing knowledge and skills and learning from others within your team. You will be expected to promote a positive, friendly and understanding attitude towards our customers and other colleagues in order to achieve consistency with the high levels of performance, efficiency and quality that is expected of our Employees whilst focusing on delivery quality care to our service users.
