Chef Manager


Salary: £25,442 per Annum, plus benefits

Location: Newcastle under Lyme

Hours: Full time position available covering a 7-day rota

The Role:

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic individuals who can manage and deliver the catering service in line with required budgets, regulations and procedures. You will also be required to manage a small team to plan menus, order supplies, cook and serve traditional homemade quality nutritious food for our customers.

As a ShireLiving manager, you will play a leading role in in being the ‘face’ of the ShireLiving.

What you will need:

You will require excellent presentation skills and a passion for producing quality food.  If you hold a current level 2 food hygiene certificate, can manage and work well as part of a team then this could be a fantastic opportunity for you. Ideally the successful candidate will also hold or be willing to work towards an NVQ Level 3 in catering (or equivalent.)

You will be working in a demanding and fast-paced environment, so you must be a conscientious, empathetic and hard-working individual who is willing to go the extra mile to deliver exceptional service.

Given the environment you will be working in, you must be able to demonstrate effective communication, strong team working, organisational, interpersonal skills and maintaining high levels of confidentiality

You must also be able to work on your own and as part of a team, have good interpersonal and communication skills and work flexibly on a rota basis to meet the needs of the service.
