Hours:  40 hours per week

Salary: £37,922 per annum

The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in an expanding Gas Team.  We are looking for Gas Heating Engineers to predominantly undertake maintenance and servicing work on our properties and those of our clients. 

Engineers are required to work between the hours of 8 am and 8pm including statutory holidays on an annualised hours rota, which will include some weekend and evening working. You will also be part of a 24-hour operational standby team responsible for providing emergency cover in the homes we maintain.  This flexibility is important in order to be certain that we can respond to critical needs when they occur.  (For further details of an example rota see attached)

What you will need:

The successful candidate must have previous experience in servicing and repairing gas appliances in a domestic housing environment at a high volume, excellent diagnostic skills and the ability to work alone on a variety of different boiler types and systems. Providing an excellent service for our customers, you have to be able to deal with different priorities and work with strict deadlines while maintaining high standards of work.

With appropriate ACS accreditation, you must have demonstrable post qualification experience and be familiar with a range of gas central heating systems. Experience of new technologies such as air source, solar and ground source work would also be desirable, as would unvented hot water.

The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate that they are flexible, tactful and able to empathise with our social aims, and must also be able to work unsupervised and have a good understanding and experience in using IT systems and PDA's.

A full UK driving licence is essential.
