HR Team Leader


Salary: Up to £31,864 per annum

Hours: 36 hours per week – Permanent

Location: Hybrid – Telford

Overview:

This is a new role within our People Services team, offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional to manage the employee lifecycle for the Wrekin Housing Group staff. You will enjoy the opportunity to shape processes and continually improve our offering and service, being at the centre of the HR operation supporting employees and managers.

The role:

In this role you will manage the delivery of a first class and right-first time people service across the organisation, and help develop the HR offering. You will have a direct impact in enhancing the delivery of good quality HR process, up-to-date policies and procedures and enabling self-service information for employees. 

How will you make an impact:

  • You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the HR administration and operations, covering the employee lifecycle post onboarding
  • You will line manage and develop the People Assistants, and enjoy getting a task or process organised and seeing this through to completion
  • You will manage the HR policy framework and conduct the annual policy reviews
  • Creating quality letters and contract templates, ensuring these are updated in line with changes to employment law legislation
  • Developing our suite of material for our online HR Hub (knowledge library) of information and quick guidance for managers 
  • Conduct audit checks on the HR information held and identify areas for improvement

About you:

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working as a HR Team Leader or equivalent level such as HR Advisor managing a small team, Senior HR Administrator, or similar equivalent. This post is aimed at someone who is excited by positive change and wants to make a difference. The successful person will be someone who is able to communicate clearly, establish credibility and manage expectations on the administration processes. It will also be someone who likes to bring organisation and structure and is known for having a great attention to detail.

The recruitment process will be in 2 stages, the first stage will be a short interview on MS Teams with our HR Shared Service Centre Manager and the second stage will be a formal interview with a task at our HQ in Telford.
