Registered Care Manager - Norton Avenue


Location: Norton Avenue, Stoke-On-Trent, Staffordshire

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £30,464.22 per annum, plus benefits

The Role:

Norton Avenue is a residential home that supports people with both learning disabilities and mental health needs.

As the Care Manager, you will provide leadership to the management and staff teams across each service. You will be responsible for the delivery of the 24-hour service across the scheme, promoting safety, security, reassurance, excellent customer service and comprehensive maintenance of all areas across the scheme.

You will also work to enrich the lives of service users by leading, monitoring and co-ordinating the activities of the service in the delivery of high quality, person centred services to service users in accordance with their individual support plans, the organisations policies and procedures, regulatory and legal requirements.

You will report to the Director of Care and will be expected to work in a flexible way and across other service settings as required.

The successful candidate will be required to manage and support a team of employees and develop positive partnerships with all key stakeholders, ensuring that all activities are fully compliant with all relevant policies, procedures and regulations.

Successful candidates will be required to undertake a DBS Check

What you will need:

Experience of working in a supported housing/care environment with a strong understanding of the registered CQC requirements is essential, to understand the needs of our customers and to enable us to deliver the excellent service that is required.

You must hold a minimum of GCSE’s grade A-C (or equivalent) in English and Maths and possess a relevant HNC or NVQ level 5 (or equivalent.) You must also hold or be willing to work towards a Food hygiene and First Aid certificate.

Along with a full clean driving license and access to a vehicle for business use is also essential for this role.

Given the environment you will be working in, you must be able to demonstrate effective communication, strong team working, organisational, interpersonal skills and maintaining high levels of confidentiality at all times.

You will be expected to promote a positive, friendly and understanding attitude towards our customers and other colleagues in order to achieve consistency with the high levels of performance, efficiency and quality that is expected of our Employees.
