Activities Co-Ordinator - Limewood


Location: Limewood, Stafford – 37.5 hours per week (All working patterns will cover a 7 day rota)

Salary: £8.91 per hour, plus benefits  



Our dedicated Dementia Support Centre. Limewood is a purpose built centre specifically for people living with Dementia.

Limewood is a forward thinking and fresh approach to dementia care for every stage and every age.

Based in Stafford, the purpose built centre delivers a seamless service, from early diagnosis to end of life care.  Relatives and residents benefit from the quality of care and expertise offered whilst experiencing familiar, safe and comfortable surroundings.

With 59 en-suite bedrooms, offering nursing care for people with dementia – each cluster of 8 bedrooms has its own open-plan living area, kitchen, dining area, quite room and assisted bathroom.  The clusters are arranged around an internal courtyard garden, with bright and airy spaces throughout.

Limewood also features a realistic, ‘High Street’, featuring a pub, hairdresser, cinema and snug, to make our residents as comfortable and content as possible.

Our friendly team of staff are on hand day or night and deliver a tailored range of quality care and support services offering peace and mind and security. We expect all staff to deliver an exceptional standard of.


The Role:

This role will require the successful applicant to engage with tenants and their friends/ families and third party agencies to encourage participation, to lead and coordinate social activities, events and trips both on and off site.

Day to day responsibilities include:-

Orgainsing and facilitating social events and activities on and off site. Arrange regular activity meetings with tenants. Work in partnership with the Corporate Events Coordinator, Strive to have daily activities and events on scheme that promote health and wellbeing, Work in conjunction with the catering service to link activities with food and beverages, Capture tenant feedback to improve service delivery, Ensuring efficiently, recording and monitoring events on the internal database, creating and facilitating competitions for tenants to take part in, whilst always working effectively with other members of the Limewood Team.

What you will need:

Our Activities and Events coordinators are required to work with our Limewood tenants and colleagues with commitment, integrity and respect. The successful candidate will need to be approachable and have the ability to adapt their communication styles dependent on the needs of the customer.

You must hold a minimum of GCSE’s grade A-C (or equivalent) in English and Maths. The ideal candidate will be willing to work flexibly, outside normal hours including evenings and weekends where necessary. Holding a current Driving License is desirable.

Given the environment you will be working in, you must be able to demonstrate effective communication, strong team working, organisational, interpersonal skills and maintaining high levels of confidentiality at all times.

You will be expected to promote a positive, friendly and understanding attitude towards our customers and other colleagues in order to achieve consistency with the high levels of performance, efficiency and quality that is expected of our Employees.
