Location: Limewood, Residential Care Home, Limetree Ave, Stafford ST16 3DF

Hours of Work:  25 hours a week covering a 7 day shift rota

Rate of pay: £11,538.00 per annum pro rota

Our dedicated Dementia Support Centre. Limewood is a purpose built centre specifically for people living with Dementia.

Limewood is a forward thinking and fresh approach to dementia care for every stage and every age.

Based in Stafford, the purpose built centre delivers a seamless service, from early diagnosis to end of life care.  Relatives and residents benefit from the quality of care and expertise offered whilst experiencing familiar, safe and comfortable surroundings.

With 59 en-suite bedrooms, offering nursing care for people with dementia – each cluster of 8 bedrooms has its own open-plan living area, kitchen, dining area, quite room and assisted bathroom.  The clusters are arranged around an internal courtyard garden, with bright and airy spaces throughout.

Limewood also features a realistic, ‘High Street’, featuring a pub, hairdresser, cinema and snug, to make our residents as comfortable and content as possible.

The Role:

As a Housekeeper you will contribute as part of a team to the effective operation of the home through the delivery of high standards of service to residents which are compliant with statutory, regulatory and organisational standards. To ensure that all areas of the building are kept to a high standard of cleanliness at all times.

You will Support residents with the cleaning of their rooms as and when required and Undertake laundry and ironing duties also Report any identified risks to the management team in a timely manner.


What you will need:

As a housekeeper there is no official qualifications for this role, but it is essential that you show the willingness to undergo any relevant training within agreed timescales. you must be able to demonstrate safe and hygienic cleaning skills and be able to operate commercial equipment. it is also essential to have the knowledge of understanding the control of hazardous substances to health regulations and the ability to communicate with service users outside suppliers and service users.
