Night Support Worker - Norton Avenue
Location: Norton Avenue, Stanfields, Stoke on Trent
Hours of Work: 30 Hours available covering a 7-day rota
Salary: £9.83 per hour, plus benefits

We have an opportunity for a Waking Night Support Worker to join our caring team at Norton Avenue, which is one of our learning disability care homes.
The successful candidate will be required to strive to deliver the best possible levels of care to the people that they support, building excellent relationships with the Service Users and key workers. Delivering care and support in accordance with service users care plans, help service users to achieve personal goals and live as independently as possible whilst maintaining dignity and respect.
This role will include the requirement to carry out observations of the building at night. You will also be responsible for answering any emergency calls throughout your shift.
You will be expected to promote a positive, friendly and understanding attitude towards our customers and other colleagues in order to achieve consistency with the high levels of performance, efficiency and quality that is expected of our Employees.
Successful candidates will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS Check

What you will need:
Ideally you will hold or be working towards a formal qualification, an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social care (or equivalent) is desirable and demonstrate a passion about delivering a quality service to our service users.
Given the environment you will be working in, you must be able to demonstrate effective communication, strong team working, organisational, interpersonal skills and maintaining high levels of confidentiality at all times. Taking responsibility for your own personal development, sharing knowledge and skills and learning from others within your team.
You must also be able to work on your own and as part of a team, have good interpersonal and communication skills and work flexibly on a rota basis to meet the needs of the service.
