Tenancy Support Worker
Location: Telford & Shropshire
Hours of Work: Full time and Part Time positions available – Temporary 18 Months
Salary: £19,736 pro rata per annum

A key responsibility of the Tenancy Support Worker is to provide a range of support to service users, to maintain their tenancies and live independently for as long as possible. You will strive towards the delivery of excellent tenant and customer service, offering commitment, interest and enthusiasm in resolving issues.
The successful candidate will be required to teach service users independent the living skills required to ensure that they are able to maintain their tenancy without ongoing support. You will work in partnership with Social Services and other statutory agencies to ensure the best outcomes for the service users is reached, whilst also keeping accurate records and detailing each contact with service users.
You must be able to adapt the communication style/approach depending on the needs of the customer.
Successful candidates will be required to undertake a DBS Check

What you will need:
A full driver’s license and the use of a car for business use is essential.
Experience of working with vulnerable people, combined with the ability to problem solve, using one’s own initiative to work independently alongside good working knowledge of Microsoft systems would make an successful candidate.
You must hold a minimum of GCSE’s grade A-C (or equivalent) in English and Maths and be proficient in the use of Microsoft packages. A relevant Care and Support qualification or equivalent is highly desirable .
Given the environment you will be working in, you must be able to demonstrate effective communication, strong team working, organisational, interpersonal skills and maintaining high levels of confidentiality at all times. Taking responsibility for your own personal development, sharing knowledge and skills and learning from others within your team.
You will be expected to promote a positive, friendly and understanding attitude towards our customers and other colleagues in order to achieve consistency with the high levels of performance, efficiency and quality that is expected of our Employees.
