Head of Housing
Salary £65,000 - £75,000

About The Role:
The successful candidate will seek to shape and oversee the delivery and development of both our housing strategy and excellent housing management services. You will have responsibility for the delivery all housing management activity at The Wrekin Housing Group.
The successful candidate will lead a strong team which covers a variety of areas – including housing, leaseholder and home ownership, tenancy sustainment, tenancy and income management, estate and community management, garage management, people-centred tenancy advice and support services, and empty property management.
Previous housing managerial experience is essential for this role. You will require significant strategic and operational knowledge regarding the delivery of a variety of housing services, as well as experience in collaborative partnership working across all sectors. You will also need to display effective cross-company engagement with other senior managers to ensure joined up service development and delivery.
This role will require a strong focus on prevention, early intervention, support and enforcement. You will also be required maintain our exceptionally high standards of income collection, whilst striving to improve sustainability. A willingness to be innovative, creative and embrace new ideas and ways of working is also desirable.
The ideal candidate for the role will bring commitment, enthusiasm, knowledge and practical experience of managing social housing stock. You will ideally have full membership of a relevant professional body, as well as an extensive and successful track record of delivering services and maximising income.

You will also be required to promote and nurture an environment that embraces System Thinking principles.
Other key responsibilities include the strategic management and development Wrekin’s housing management systems, as well as the ability to review and evaluate policies, processes, measures and customer feedback

This role requires that successful applicant to hold a Full UK Driving License and the use of a vehicle for business use.
