Business as usual for £10m home improvement programme

We are pleased to announce that Wrekin have restarted their home improvement programme following the easing of COVID-19 lockdown rules, and are continuing to make a difference to people’s lives.

The £10m investment will see works such as replacement doors, bathrooms and kitchens being installed across Wrekin’s homes as part of its ongoing home improvement programme

David Hall, Group Head of Property said: “It’s fantastic that we have been able to restart investment in our homes after a three month delay, with our staff and our contractors, carefully following government guidance on working in occupied homes”.

If we need to access your home to undertake any work, our staff do so in a COVID-secure way, keeping to a social distance and working in line with government guidance. If you are shielding due to being in a higher risk group, we are happy to talk about the options for getting the work carried out safely.

Whilst it is almost business as usual, we do have a small backlog of work in some areas due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. We are contacting residents if their work will be delayed.

Our repairs service is also fully operational, so if you have a repair to report please get in touch. If repairs for doors, bathroom and kitchens cannot be fixed, they are prioritised for replacement as part of the home improvements programme.

If there are any repairs or issues with your property please call as usual our repairs line on 01952 217217.
