C19 update – Area shops and face coverings - Friday 14 August

Area shops and offices

We continue to deliver our services in a COVID secure way and in line with government advice to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our customers, service users and staff. Our offices, retail outlets and community centres remain closed to the public for the time being and we thank you for your understanding about this.

Face coverings

Last week saw changes to guidance on face coverings and they are now required to be worn in more indoor settings. Added to the list are indoor venues such as museums, galleries, cinemas and public libraries. The full list is available on the gov.uk website.

COVID-19

Updates and changes due to COVID-19 can occur at any time. The gov.uk website contains up to date information.

If you, or anyone in your household develops symptoms of COVID-19, it is very important that you request a test (online or by calling 119). You should also inform us if you or anyone in your household has symptoms when you are requesting a service, such as a repair.

Everyone is reminded that we are all still required to stay alert and:

- Stay at home as much as possible
- Limit contact with other people and keep your distance (2m apart)
- Wash our hands often with soap for at least 20 seconds

Please continue to check our website and social media channels for updates and further information. If you would like to receive information directly you can sign up for email updates at coronavirus@wrekin.com

We will continue to update you on the latest government advice on COVID-19, but do check the gov.uk website in the first instance for the most up-to-date information
