Employees raise ‘wheelie’ great amount for charity

Eight employees from The Wrekin Housing Trust recently took part in the Severn Hospice 2016 Great Big Bike Ride and have raised almost £1000 for the charity.
Lucy Ruff, Fundraising Manager from Severn Hospice, visited the Trust offices this week to be presented with the cheque for £972.00, which will be added to the £15,000 raised by everyone who took part in the event so far.
She said: “We’re so grateful to everyone who takes part in this event, which grows in popularity every year. The total amount raised by this group of employees is amazing so thank you to them and everyone who sponsored them.”
The members of the team, including David Hall, Head of Asset Management, cycled 50k. David said: “Thank you to everyone who has pledged sponsorship for the event. We’re all really grateful for the support we’ve had and pleased that we’ve been able to help this great hospice.”
