Group awards cup for best sustainable garden at Shrewsbury Flower Show

The best sustainable show garden award at the Shrewsbury Flower Show has this year been awarded to Warren Vette of F3RNZ Natural Landscape & Design of Shropshire and Pippa Willcox of Pippa Willcox Gardens.

The award was sponsored by The Wrekin Housing Group, who have sponsored the best sustainable garden for the last eight years.

The garden which showcased this year’s theme of New Horizons has been judged on its innovative, cost-effective features that can be incorporated into many gardens at home. The co-designed synergy garden brings together two cultures in a shared environmentally friendly way.

Celebrity gardener David Domoney, who judged this year’s gardens, together with Paula Reynolds, from The Wrekin Housing Group were pleased to award the trophy to Warren and Pippa.

It’s a double celebration for the duo, who have also won the title of best overall show garden for their design.

Paula commented; “It’s fantastic to see the finished show gardens and I appreciate just how much work and dedication goes into producing them. This garden is very special, and most importantly meets our sustainability criteria – so it’s a most deserving winner. I hope that visitors to the Show feel inspired to try out a few of the ideas in their own outdoor spaces.”

Warren and Pippa said; “We’re thrilled to win the most sustainable show garden award and to be awarded the best overall show garden. A winning garden doesn’t have to be costly and we hope that we have inspired a few people to be innovative with their designs at home.”

The Group is exhibiting at the Flower Show and can be found on Gloucester Avenue. A series of demonstrations, including cooking will take place throughout the event.
