Housing Trust celebrates good neighbours in Telford

Longstanding community champion, The Wrekin Housing Trust, is proud to sponsor the ‘Good Neighbour’ award category at this year’s Telford Community Pride Awards.

The Trust would like to pass on its congratulations to all nominees across all categories and especially those who have been shortlisted in the awards.

Managing Director, Wayne Gethings, said: “The Wrekin Housing Trust is committed to developing and building happy communities. We’re proud to support the Good Neighbour Award, which celebrates some of Telford’s great citizens. Congratulations to finalists Linda Leo; Maddy Barlow; Sheila Hayward and Viv Cakici and good luck! We look forward to celebrating with you all at the ceremony in November.”

The Trust builds at least one new home per day and has a wide ranging portfolio of properties, including family homes, bungalows, specially adapted homes for people with disabilities and retirement villages that provide safe and secure places to live for older residents.

The Wrekin Housing Trust, now in its 20th year, has a strong track record of developing homes for affordable rent, along with a healthy pipeline of future developments. It was ranked 7th in the country in a list of housing associations increasing their stock by the highest percentage.
