Limewood celebrates sixth birthday
An award winning Stafford dementia care home is celebrating its sixth birthday.
Limewood a dedicated Dementia support centre was opened by Choices Housing Association, Part of The Wrekin Housing Group in August 2014. The forward thinking centre offers advice and support from early diagnosis to nursing and end of life care.
The building itself was purpose built to offer safe and comfortable surroundings to its residents and features a realistic, ‘High Street’, which includes a pub, hairdresser, cinema and snug meaning residents can enjoy life safely.
Residents and carers were able to celebrate together at the home this week.
Nigel Downs, Managing Director of Choices said; “We’re delighted to be celebrating our sixth birthday at Limewood. Since opening the team here have really made a difference to the lives of many residents and their families.
It hasn’t been easy through COVID-19 but our staff have remained positive and their innovative ideas have helped residents to remain in touch with family members and friends.”
