Malinslee site to provide over 80 new homes

Work is progressing well on a development of over 80 new homes in Telford.
The Wrekin Housing Trust’s Park Road development in Malinslee will provide a selection of bungalows and houses, totalling 81 new homes, all for affordable rent.
The site is on track to complete next year, with the first homes being available in February or March. One bedroom bungalows and houses have been included to enable those affected by the government’s welfare reform changes to move to smaller accommodation.
Jane Kind, Assistant Project Manager for the Trust, said: “New residents will benefit from a fantastic location close to the town centre as well as the new Lawley development with shops, doctors surgery, dentist, gym and nursery. All of the properties will have allocated parking and gardens.”
As well as the new homes, which will go towards meeting demand for affordable rented property in Telford, the Trust has included a brand new cycle track through the development. The path will link the top of Cambridge Close with West Centre Way, and will be a great addition for new and existing residents of the area.
