Morton Court fire
A fire affecting two properties at Morton Court in Dawley took place on Sunday 15th December 2019.
The residents who have been directly affected by the fire are receiving support from staff as well as their family and friends. Affected residents have been provided suitable accommodation while repairs are carried out on their homes.
The Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service have now completed their investigation which has concluded that the fire was accidental. The safety of residents is of paramount importance to us and we are pleased that everyone got out of the properties. Some injuries were sustained that required hospital treatment, those injured are now out of hospital.
We would like to thank the emergency services and Wrekin staff for their professionalism. We would also like to thank members of the community who have shared their well wishes and made offers of assistance.
