New government guidelines from 29 March

As the government roadmap out of lockdown progresses some easing of restrictions will start today including the following:

  • Outdoor gatherings - up to six people or two households will be able to meet outside including in private gardens.
  • Outdoor sports facilities will be allowed to reopen, this includes tennis and basketball courts as well as open-air swimming pools.
  • You can participate in formally organised outdoor sports.
  • The ‘stay at home rule’ will end, but you are asked to stay at home as much as possible and minimise the journeys that you make

Holidays are not yet permitted and travel abroad is prohibited unless essential. You should also continue to work from home where you can.

The next update in line with the government roadmap out of lockdown 3 will be no earlier than 12 April.

We will continue to update you on the latest government advice on Covid-19, but please do check the gov.uk website in the first instance for the most up-to-date information and further details on what the rules mean.

The NHS website has detailed information on symptoms and what to do if you or someone in your household shows signs of Covid-19 symptoms.
