Update from Group Chief Executive Wayne Gethings - 25 January

The latest lockdown and our services to you

The national lockdown has brought changes for all of us and I wanted to write and update you on the services that you receive from us.

We’re pleased to let you know that in line with government guidance we can continue to deliver many of our services in a COVID-safe way. This includes repairs and maintenance and providing care. At the moment our offices and area shops remain closed.

If you need a repair

I would like to ask that if you require a repair you think carefully about whether you really need us to visit your home at this time. If you do need a repair please report this in the usual way by calling 01952 217217 or via your scheme manager.

If we need to visit you our COVID-safe working practices have been designed to keep you and our staff safe. We will ask you some questions when you call and provide information and instructions for things to do before we visit, this includes asking about symptoms and making sure where we work is well ventilated.

As a Wrekin customer we are here to support you

We have a range of services available to help from housing and money advice to general support, please get in touch by calling 01952 217100 if you think we might be able to assist in any way. If you are shielding please let us know so that we can discuss any additional support you may need. You can also visit wrekin.com/coronavirus for faqs, tips and advice.

Keeping up to date

We will continue to keep our website wrekin.com updated with information and advice on COVID-19, but you should also check gov.uk/coronavirus for the most up-to-date news and guidance.

I would like to thank you for your continued support as we work through this time together. Please stay at home, protect the NHS and save lives.

Stay safe and take care.

Wayne Gethings
