Wrekin customers handed the keys to new homes in Bushbury

The Wrekin Housing Group has recently completed its new development at Bushbury, working in partnership with family run TC Homes, based in Shrewsbury.

Located on the former Methodist Church site 20 new homes have been built for affordable rent including 16 two-bedroom houses and four flats. Customers are already settling in to their new homes, which have been fitted with external charging facilities for electric cars, as part of Wrekin’s commitment to energy efficiency and sustainability.

Steve Swann Development Manager for The Wrekin Housing Group said:

“We are delighted to have completed our first development with TC Homes and are pleased with the quality of the homes built here, on the site of the former Methodist Church in Bushbury. It’s also great to be working once again with Bushbury Hill EMB who will be managing our homes here in Bushbury.

“We feel that the homes are of the highest quality and that the properties have been delivered in good time despite being impacted by Covid and associated problems in terms of the purchasing and delivery of materials to site.

“We look forward to working again with TC Homes and to deliver more new affordable homes in Wolverhampton.”

TC Homes Director Tim Charnley, said:

“The Kempthorne Avenue project in Bushbury to be rented through The Wrekin Housing Group was completed on schedule, despite the difficulties caused by Covid. We were just about to break ground on that project as the country went into lockdown, but we were able to begin work at the site last May.

"We are very pleased with the development and everything went smoothly. It was great working alongside The Wrekin Housing Group who are building much needed local housing."

TC Homes signed contracts worth around £2million with The Wrekin Housing Group for the project in Bushbury, Wolverhampton.
