Wrekin donations help charities gear up for Christmas
Generous staff at The Wrekin Housing Group have helped to spread some extra Christmas cheer by making a bumper donation to local charities.
During the past few weeks, colleagues have donated and collected food items, toiletries, toys and Christmas trees for a number of charities. The items will be split between Telford Crisis Support, Telford Refuge, The House of Bread Café & Staffordshire Women's Aid.
The support packages were delivered just in time for Christmas to ensure families can enjoy the special day.
Andy Johnson, Head of Housing at The Wrekin Housing Group said: “At Wrekin, we work to not only provide good quality homes and services for our customers, but we also strive to make a difference to people’s lives.
“We’re delighted to have been able to help these charities with the fantastic work they do. Christmas can be a really tough time and this year, more than ever before, these organisations need our help.
"It’s our hope that these donations will provide much needed help during these difficult times to those people living in our communities.”
