Wrekin tenants help decide the future look of kitchens

Wrekin tenants have been helping to decide the future look of our kitchens.

Members of Wrekin Voices were given the opportunity to have their say on the options of worktop and cupboard finishes that would be available to customers receiving a new kitchen.

Kathryn Holmes, Customer Voice Co-ordinator said:

“We were planning some changes to the kitchen finishes we provide and wanted customer input on which options they would like to see available. We had a great response to this survey with 194 customers taking part”

Following the results of the survey Wrekin will be introducing marble and stone worktop finishes to the popular selections of black and oak. Slate grey and oak cupboard doors will be available as a choice alongside the existing ivy and silver options.

Mrs Tong, a tenant in Malinslee, recently had a new kitchen installed. She said:

"I'm over the moon with the new kitchen. The lads were very hard working and I couldn’t fault anything. Thank you so much for everything!"

Would you like to become a Wrekin Voice?

We're on the lookout for customers to help shape our services. We're keen to hear what topics interest you the most. If you're up for getting involved, just fill out a quick form to let us know.

You can get involved in many ways, working around all the other things you have going on in your life. Here are just some of the ways you have had your say this month:

Watch alarm trial: A group of Wrekin Voices have volunteered to trial a new pendant alarm system. They attended a session with Support services manager, Vicky Andrews to get started with the new kit. They will be putting the pendants through their paces for a few weeks to help us choose the best system for our customers.

Doseley walkabout: The Customer Voice team visited Griffiths Avenue in Dosesley for a walkabout. Concerns had been raised about litter on a pathway running between the apartments and about anti-social behaviour. We were joined by the housing team and local police and had great conversations with the residents. Discussions are now being held with the site developer to help identify solutions.

Youth expo: The Customer Voice team attended the Youth Expo at Donnington Community Hub. We took along some worksheets asking children what they like about their neighbourhoods.

Wellington drop-in with Wrekin Reviive: We had a busy morning at our Wellington drop-in with customers popping in to find out about Wrekin Reviive, their 30% discount and browse a selection of items.
