The Wrekin Housing Group - Board Member Vacancies

We’re a socially-minded housing association providing over 13,500 homes for affordable rent and shared ownership, across Telford and Wrekin, Shropshire and Staffordshire and have ambitious plans to grow our housing provision up to 16,000 homes by 2025.

Wrekin is a well-recognised provider of care and continues to excel in dementia care and the support of adults with learning difficulties. Our care services are rated ‘Good’ across the board, with one ‘Outstanding’ - an outcome driven by astounding and passionate colleagues. Our award-winning same-day repairs service, development and housing teams underpin our housing services ensuring satisfaction for our customers who live in high standard homes.

Alongside our growth plans, we have embarked on a fundamental transformation programme to modernise how we interact with our customers and stakeholders. Generating social value is a key pillar of our activity; we thrive on engaging communities and supporting individuals through opportunities and investment. Everyone matters at Wrekin; we invest in our people and the systems they use to improve quality and performance to deliver outstanding care and housing services. We work in partnership with residents and service users, involving them in key decisions about our business to make sure that Wrekin keeps, and stays, ahead.

We are looking for:

  • A Group Board member with substantial finance, accounting and treasury management experience to become a member of our Finance & Investment and Audit & Assurance Committees (£6,500)
  • An Independent Board Member with substantial experience in audit, compliance, governance and risk to become a member of our Audit & Assurance Committee (£3,000)
