Treating vermin and pests
As outlined in your tenancy agreement, the treatment of vermin and pest control is tenant responsibility.
If vermin or pests are being caused by an issue with the property, you must first carry out treatment of vermin and pests before we can complete any repairs.
We do not treat vermin such as cockroaches, mice or rats, nor do we remove fleas, wasps, bees, and ants. Telford & Wrekin Council offers a service that will deal with pests that are harmful to public health (mainly rats and mice).
We recommend contacting your local authority or council for advice. You can check online for approved pest control contractors in your local area and compare services to find the best solution for your problem.
You can contact Telford & Wrekin council, via their website. For other pest problems such as wasps and ants, you should contact a private pest control company. You can find a list of these in your phonebook or online.
